What we collect

If you use the contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you submit, solely to read and respond to it. We don't operate any account system, so no profile, password, or purchase data exists to collect in the first place.

Server logs

Like any website, our hosting infrastructure automatically logs basic technical data with each page request — IP address, browser type, page requested, and timestamp — used only for security and diagnosing technical faults. We do not run a third-party analytics or advertising platform on this site.

Cookies and local storage

We store one small piece of local browser data: a flag remembering that you've dismissed the cookie notice, so it doesn't reappear on every page. It contains no personal information and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

How we use your information

Pages on this site link to National Trails, English Heritage, the Vindolanda Trust, and various named walking-holiday operators for reference. Those sites have their own separate privacy practices, which this policy does not cover.
